WHAT
WE DO
The Quarantine Series is a Houston, Texas-based virtual play reading series started during the COVID-19 crisis. We offer new plays a 'new work' workshop process, several rehearsals, and a directed public reading—all through virtual conferencing and live-streaming.
We focus on empowering playwrights to continue crafting new works and making progress through a public staged reading and talkback while also enabling actors and directors to dig into a new works process—all during the quarantine, while we are not allowed to be in the same room. We are interested in helping playwrights move forward with their drafts in whatever way they see most fit at this uncertain time.

The Quarantine Series is fiercely committed to equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility. This is an actively safe and accessible space for artists of color, queer artists, disabled artists, and artists from marginalized religious communities.
